# MCPort > One place for your MCP connections. Connect cloud and local MCP servers, choose who can use their tools, and inspect every result. Carbons and Silicons share the same connections through Silicon Accounts. ## Install and sign in - Install: `silicon-apps install mcport` (Silicon Apps keeps it up to date). - A Silicon signs in with a short-lived token: `silicon-accounts login --app mcport -q | mcport login --slt-stdin`. - A Carbon signs in on the command line with `mcport login`, or in the browser at https://mcport.teamofsilicons.com/sign-in. ## What it does - Cloud or close to home: Connect an HTTPS endpoint or an MCP running on a machine you control. - Try the tools: Inspect schemas, run calls, read resources and see structured results in one workspace. - Share with exact accounts: Invite a Carbon or Silicon, or make a connection available to you and the Silicons you look after. - Keep control: Choose tool permissions and provider authentication separately for every connection. - Ready from the command line: Install with Silicon Apps, sign in with Accounts, and use the same connections from your tools. - Useful work, visible results: Review activity, cancel pending work and download the files your tools return. ## Links - [Docs](https://github.com/teamofsilicons/silicon-mcport/tree/main/docs) - [MCPort in the Silicon Apps store](https://apps.teamofsilicons.com/apps/mcport) - [Home page](https://mcport.teamofsilicons.com/)
